A gas fire will never smell of woodsmoke, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What it offers instead is a real flame that arrives in seconds, holds a set temperature all evening, and asks nothing of you when it’s done.

  • Fire without the firewood

    No logs to season, no ash to carry out, no kindling on a cold morning. The flame is there when you sit down and gone when you go to bed, from the remote, or a thermostat that holds the room where you like it.

  • No old chimney required

    A balanced-flue fire vents through an outside wall, which puts a real flame in rooms that could never take a stove, new builds, extensions, and media walls included. If you do have a chimney, a conventional-flue fire will use it.

  • Efficiency an open fire can’t touch

    A glass-fronted balanced-flue fire turns up to 90% of the gas it burns into heat in the room, an open grate manages barely 20%. That difference shows up on the bill every month, and it’s why a modern gas fire pays its way as a heater, not just a centerpiece.

  • The survey

    A engineer measures the room, checks the chimney or plans the flue, and talks through what you actually want from a fire.

  • The fitting

    Floors are covered, the flue is lined and tested, and the hearth is left cleaner than we found it. Building control notification is handled for you.

  • The first fire

    We light it with you, how to build the fire, run in the paint, and read the airwash. You keep the Gas certificate, the warranty paperwork, with a warm welcome to the Croft and Flame family for afterservice.
